Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay was a famous early 20th century Bengali novelist. His work depicts the lifestyles, struggles and social practices prevailing in Bengal villages. Some of his work have been an inspiration behind films. This book is an integration of eight of his stories including Mahesh, Harilakshmi and Anuradha.
