While out on their mission delivering letters warning allied nations of the Demon Lord’s army, Usato and his companions save a young girl named Nea from zombies. Unbeknownst to them, however, is that it’s all part of Nea’s scheme to capture Usato! Born of a necromancer and a vampire, Nea uses her powers to take control of Usato’s companion Aruku, forcing him to fight for her. Usato manages to free him with a technique he dubs “the healing throw,” but that’s not all Nea has up her sleeve. She resurrects an ancient monster, once sealed away by a hero of the past. Usato finds himself facing an enemy stronger than any he has ever known, and when Nea gets pulled into the battle, she does something that nobody sees coming!
